Pop supergroup A-ha to hang their hat after recent top 10 success (NY and LA concert dates in May)

**Tour update: Late 2009, The Norwegian pop supergroup a-ha, released a statement on A-ha.com announcing that, after 25 years together, they have decided to part ways. following an international farewell tour.  “We’ve literally lived the ultimate boy’s adventure tale,” said the trio and added that the split would allow them to pursue “other meaningful aspects of life, be it humanitarian work, politics, or whatever else”. A-ha scored international hits with The Sun Always Shines On TV and Take On Me in the 1980s.

Their latest album, Foot Of The Mountain (music video)  has secured the #5 position in the UK charts completing a circle by a return to their synth-pop roots. since most of their songs before this album were the dreamy guitar based ballads. The 2010 farewell world tour with dates in N.Y. and Los Angeles (in May) has been selling out in minutes. Due to high demand U.S. tour dates maybe added. The final concert will take place on December 4, 2020 in Oslo – that’s in Norway, folks. “We are retiring as a band, not as individuals,” the band reassured fans in their statement. “Change is always difficult and it is easy to get set in one’s ways.
