Playing the shady lady:good acting advice by Vera Farmiga

Actress Vera Farmiga plays a cheating hussy in the film “Up in the Air” and admits her character wasn’t easy to fall in love with.  It’s a little bit of role reversal where George Clooney’s character wants to settle down with Farmiga’s character Alex.  But Alex has a family and just wants some hot sex while on the road.  Farmiga says she embraces her character’s flaws and learned to like her more after hearing words from “Precious” star Mo’nique.  The mantra for these ladies and the shady characters they play is to “be it, don’t judge it and leave it on the floor.”  Framiga feels she played this character who comes across in a masculine, sexual way, with grace.  Yes folks, tramps can be graceful and elegant too.  We’ll see if Oscar feels the same way.  Both Farmiga and Mo’nique are nominated for Best Supporting Actress. – C.
