On the 21st February Brits In L.A. bring you The Toscars, held at The Supper club in Hollywood.  The Queen’s favorite comedian and BAFTA winner Jim Tavare will host this unique and fun event where short parodies of the 9 Oscar nominated films for this year will be judged by a panel of celebrities including multiple Emmy winner and Oscar writer Bruce Vilanch, actor Skeet Ulrich, pop star Siobhan Fahey from 80’s iconic trio Bananarama, and actor, impersonator Drew Droege channeling Chloe Sevigny.

This jolly ‘ol event is now in its 5th year and will benefit The Actors Fund.  As soon as the 2012 Oscar nominees for best picture were announced, the Toscar people were re-working plots, casting actors and in no time it was ‘lights, camera, action’ to get these humorous short films finished and presented for the competition.
