MIKA rocks L.A.

Mika rocks the Hollywood Palladium Casablanca/Universal Republic Records’ breakout star Mika released his highly anticipated sophomore album ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’ on September 22 of this year. He recorded the majority of the album in Los Angeles with producer / musician Greg Wells, who also produced his debut album Life In Cartoon Motion. The first single from the album, “We Are Golden” made its radio debut in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2009, on BBC Radio 2,  and is already a big hit.  On Friday Oct 23, Mika took the stage at The Hollywood Palladium, in Hollywood, CA  wearing a spacesuit, then slowly stripping into his white boxers, a’la  “We are golden”, the music video). The concert started with a bang as he opened with “relax, take it easy.”  In the past few years the sound at the Palladium has been anyone’s guess, but on Friday it was crisp, clear and didn’t bounce on and off the walls. The production design was colorful, fresh and as youthful as its trendy star. Song after song, Mika delivered the hit sand the new numbers with smooth transitions. An energetic, colorful hyper-active performance you want to see again.

In one word: Golden!
