After a successful run on UK Television and its somewhat watered-down, and still hilarious run on BBC America, THE INBETWEENERS movie will hit U.S. theaters this weekend, September 7th, on limited release, and uncut. No pun!
With raunchy dialogue and the whole “yes they really went there” approach to getting laughs The Inbetweeners quickly made a name for themselves, on TV, following the lives of four teenagers in search of recognition, getting laid, alcohol, and getting laid.
The road less traveled or generally skipped by American made teen comedies such as American Pie, is the one taken proudly and successfully by writer-creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, and their well oiled ensemble cast Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas.
Here is the scoop for hardcore American fans. If you live in the Los Angeles area you can situate yourselves to have a run in with the original cast members as they hop on and off their tour bus, running around our crazy city. Not to be confused with the U.S. version starring an American cast on MTV. These U.K. guys are the real deal.
