The award-winning independent comedy GOOD SPORT has officially hit digital platforms, bringing its offbeat humor, family drama, and courtside chaos to audiences everywhere. Released by Magenta Edge Films, the film is now available to rent or purchase on Amazon and Apple TV.
Written and directed by Andrew Zuckerman and co-written by Dillon Orth, GOOD SPORT stars Sam Landman as Pat, a down-on-his-luck dad whose day is already a disaster before he even steps onto the basketball court.
His ex-wife is getting remarried, he’s nursing a hangover, and somehow, he’s expected to coach his 12-year-old son’s basketball team. What could possibly go wrong?
Apparently, everything.
Between overbearing helicopter parents, an outrageously competitive opposing coach, and his own personal baggage, Pat discovers that coaching a kids’ basketball game might be the least of his problems. But beneath the hilarious sideline meltdowns lies a surprisingly heartfelt story about fatherhood, failure, and figuring out what really matters.
The film made an impression on the festival circuit, winning the Narrative Feature Audience Award at Dances With Films in 2025, where it caught the attention of Magenta Edge Films.
The ensemble cast also includes Mike O’Gorman, Sari Lennick, Virginia Newcomb, Elizabeth Guest, Michelle Hutchison, Darius Jones, and Esera Tuaolo.
With its quirky characters and relatable emotional stakes, GOOD SPORT reminds us that sometimes winning isn’t about the scoreboard. And sometimes, the adults need more coaching than the kids.
GOOD SPORT is now available to rent or buy digitally.
