Anonymous (movie) – a political thriller Directed by Roland Emmerich, tells the theoretical story of Edward De Vere, Earl of Oxford, who penned Shakespeare’s plays; set against the backdrop of the succession of Queen Elizabeth I, and the Essex Rebellion against her. The film explores the authenticity of William Shakespeare’s literary works.
