“Mmmbop”~ing HANSON brothers still going at it strong

HANSON to release their first studio album in 3 years on June 8.  In an interview with Billboard.com the boys sound just as confident with their music as they were over a decade ago when they dominated the airwaves and the charts (including Billboards Hot 100) with their No.1 hit “Mmmbop.” And that’s when all three of them were under the age of 17. Today, they have the groove, the fine-tuned comfort of a seasoned band. Make no mistake, they didn’t go anywhere and have continued making music as a band. “Every record is important,” Taylor Hanson says of their new album “Shout It Out,” “But this one feels like… a reflection not just of right now but a selection of things we’ve been putting in records for the last fifteen years.” The Hanson Brothers recorded and produced their 12-track “Shout It Out” themselves, recording the new tunes in Texas, their native Oklahoma, and in L.A., and say they drew inspiration for the ideo for first single “Thinkin’ ‘Bout Somethin’,” from a scene starring Ray Charles, in the “The Blues Brothers” film. “I think we’re saying that you can have a heart and compassion for others and do good things in your life, and at the same time dance in the street,” explains, Isaac Hanson – We think Hanson’s new music will easily find themselves rocking into our playlists!
