A Small Screen Buh-Bye and a Big Screen Hello for “Entourage”

After six years on HBO the comedy series “Entourage” is hitting the skids.  A six episode arc will likely close the show next summer and cast members are not thrilled.  Co-star Adrian Grenier says he’s living in the moment and prefers not to think about what will happen when the series wraps.  In fact, Adrian is hoping fans protest over the next year and cause studio heads to change their minds and keep the cast working. So keep your eyes peeled for a Facebook page a la Betty White’s infamous page asking for fans to jump in and reignite what seems to be a fizzling fire.  The good news for the concerned cast is that movie possibilities a la “Sex and the City” are already being discussed.  Creator Doug Ellin wants to write the film but he is being very careful when it comes to a brilliant storyline.  Likely he will wait until he has the perfect ending to the TV show in place to see where the big screen jump will begin. The current season of “Entourage” rolls through the ins and outs of Hollywood on Sundays at 10.30 PM on HBO.  – By: Charlie Reeves
