So You Think You Can Dance, Prison-Style!?

The man who created shows such as “The Apprentice,” “Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?” and “Survivor” is out to put a new spin on reality dance competition  programming.  Mark Burnett is now on the hunt to find talent within America’s prison system for two pending projects – “Dancing Behind Bars” and “Talent Behind Bars.”  Ya, you definitely want to have one that isn’t dance based because of the bus loads of skills created while spending years on the chain gang that no one has even thought of.  Come to think of it, “Talent Behind Bars” could probably have a spin-off called “X-Rated Talent Behind Bars.”  Eeeew – I know.  As it stands one show will focus on dancing and the other will focus on singing but let’s face it, a broad name for at least one of the programs can open up a can of worms for all kinds of untapped talents.  As far as who is eligible to audition, murderers are a no-go.  So if your cousin Vinny, who’s a ventriloquist from Queens in the slammer for rubbin’ out the local butcher, wants a shot at stardom, fuhget about it.  Vinny is out and will have to limit his show to inmates only.  But if you’re doing time for smoking or selling crack, you have already made it past your first step to becoming the next Prison Idol.  Yaaaa cracksters, there is hope yet!  Since Ryan Seacrest hosts almost everything on TV, I think this would be the perfect show to not only showcase his hidden talents but also to make a man out of him once and for all.  — By: Charlie Reeves
