Short Film Spotlight: TABLE MANNERS

Every time we promise not to talk about short films at Brave New Hollywood, because we can’t possibly go through all of them, we come across a cool and creative short film we end up cheering for.  We fell in love with TABLE MANNERS, directed by Rebecca Manley.

Our film review.

TABLE MANNERS follows three creatures searching for food in the woods. This cute, colorful, and beautifully shot film must be seen.

Filmmaker, Rebecca Manley brings the story to life through an adorable bunch of live-action puppets. It’s an homage to her childhood inspirations such as The Muppets and Labyrinth, this experimental, low budget production is a wonderful, heartwarming tale with a witty and cool message.

With darker comedic elements (we love that), framed and shot with great taste and skill. Great colors. And the cardboard puppets are such amazing, loveable looking creations – as in, we’d love to collect them.

The film was produced by Indy8 in association with Lupus Films for Channel 4 (UK).

It’s perfect for our fast-paced A.D.D. society, being just 3:00 minutes in length, and oh so worth watching.
